Swale branch of Cats Protection (formally Sheppey) was founded 30 years ago and in that time we have cared for and re-homed thousands of cats and kittens that would otherwise never have had the chance of a loving and secure home. We also encourage neutering of cats of all ages to help control the growing cat population. A voucher scheme is available - please call us for more information.

Swale Branch is run entirely by unpaid volunteers who are dedicated to making the lives of cats and kittens in our area better. Please only contact the branch on the advertised phone number 0345 3712755, a volunteer will either call or email you when available.
Our website is updated regularly to make sure we provide up to date information on our cats and Branch activities. Please be aware we are not veterinary professionals and do not operate any emergency services, sick or injured cats need to be taken to a qualified vet.
Finally, as stated we are all volunteers most with full time jobs so some of the volunteers are only able to check for messages once or twice a week so please be patient.

Are you looking for a worthwhile volunteering opportunity,  we are urgently looking for a Fundraising team leader, fosterers and Welfare assistants, (you will need to be a car driver for the latter role).  If you are interested send us an email or complete the form at this link- click here.

In 2016 we helped over 75 cats and kittens find their way into loving homes.  We don't actually have a central base, our cats and kittens are temporarily housed with our fosterers in heated outdoor pens or with our indoor fosterers who care for our cats in their own homes.  Hopefully you will find your purrfect feline friend here, if not contact us, we are likely to know of a cat that needs a new home.

Please go to our adoption pages to see who is desperately seeking a new forever home.   Adoption page

Cats Protection now ask adopters for a fee when re-homing a cat, this helps towards our costs of; neutering, vet checks, vaccinations, micro chipping etc.  The Swale Branch fee is £60, however, if you feel able to make a donation on top of that fee, that would of course be gratefully received.   We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to re-home a CP cat!  Download a homing form here
